Fight the police? That’s about the stupidest possible thing you could do. That’s generally how shit like this happens.
Yeah, there are some bad cops out there, but by and large, if you don’t give ‘em any grief, cops won’t give you any trouble.
Bottom line is at the end of the day, a policeman is just another guy, just doing his job, who just wants to go home and have a brew at the end of the day.
Those of you who think that cops are regular people you probobly have never been arrested or put in jail before. Cops are the biggest losers on the face of the planet and anywhere you go there will always be a power hungry piggy around the corner waiting to pull you over for no reason.
My cousin is a cop and he says 1 out of every 100 cops are assholes and will do shit like what is see above.
But he also says that most cops are extremely paranoid of everyone. Mainly because many cops are often attacked for no apparent reason.
Remember that cops are there to help you. If you say that they are racists or abusing there power then you are very ignorant and probably are brainwashed from stupid people. (I.e. the rednecks of left-wing idology) or you evergreen college. Cops use there power to help us be safe and if you think they are racist by bringing up the rodney king thing. Black cops were woopin his ass too.

It is not a hard concept, do what you are told and don’t fight and you won’t get hurt. When an officer is giving you orders it is NOT the time to argue, follow directions. Once you are detain or arrested you will have a chance to state your side of the situation but your best bet is to shut up and if arrested GET A LAWER. If you make a statement with out one you are acting as your own attorney and you have a fool for a attorney at that time. You have rights but by fighting, making a statement, running you mouth, or running away you are giving them up and putting yourself at risk.
i went to train for the police academy, all the physical training, then when i got to the mental evaluation, psyche i couldn’t do it, i just can’t think like assholes, i could never be a cop, there just assholes that raise their noses to everyone, and are just jerks.
Hey for all the people out there who think this stuff is outrageous or brutal, remember to ask yourself one question: “what did the person do to deserve this treatment and why did they refuse?” find the answer to that and the beating will in most cases be justified!

Everybody who rants inanely about “police brutality” should spend a few weeks behind the badge. Sure, some of the vids on the net show genuinely brutal and unnecessarry force used by police but many more of them just show a selected portion of the incident and it is impossible to understand the whole picture just by watching the video clip. There are plenty of methods within the justice system and local governments to control police conduct but it only works as well as the citizens who work it. Truth is, we’re lazy and easily distracted so we whine and scream at our TVs and computers while the mysterious them are down at City Hall or over in the State Capitol deciding what our future will look like. Go there (or Google their contact info). Rant at them. They have to listen.

What they don’t show is the victim killing or raping some friend of a guy in the force – not that this should excuse excessive force. Also mistakes happen and even though there are certainly some corrupt cops out there everyone should remember the nature of their job and the extreme danger they subject themselves to daily. They don’t even get paid very well by the people they serve or the “man” in Washington – nor are they even affiliated with the federal government.
Also it’s important to note for those of you whining about internet surveillance that the internet is open domain. It has always been this way. If you want to change this, create your own server and start networking people to it. The fact is it is too difficult to change what is already there and the government owns all the satellites and land lines that lead from one place to another. Also it would be an insanely expensive endeavor. As long as its free it can be monitored by the American government, Chinese government, you, me, or whoever else feels like they want to.
Take your revolution somewhere else. Maybe back to your FREE PUBLIC SCHOOLS and learn to spell.

I don’t take revolution speak and “take the power back” speech lightly. It’s serious and before we all decide to take up arms against our government we should also remember that the fathers of our nation were very well educated and tried a lot of other methods of diplomacy before calling for separation.

Some times, people need to relize, that if you’re resisting there is a chance of a weapon. At then end of the day I want to go home and see my family and friends. The law enforcement population is subject to the same laws of averages that the general population is. 1 in 5 people are idiots, which means 1 in 5 police are idiots, the only difference is they are idiots with guns , tazers, and night sticks. And far too many police “get off” on the power they think they have over the general public.
If you don’t have video evidence of police brutality or violating your rights given to you by the founding fathers of this country you are just shit out of luck. Cops almost always have each others back reguardless, and judges always take the word of a policeman over a citizen.

While there are many cases of brutality and it is true we are almost always powerless even in a court room. we fail to see that because we are to angry about the speeding ticket we probably deserved it is a tough job and police officers do get a lot of crap. but it is no excuse for some of the beatings I’ve seen what we need to do is go out on the front line with video cameras not guns(yet) because this is the best weapon we have and it is legal to film the cops as long as you don’t interfere with whatever the officer is doing.When they take that away from us then it is time to stock up on ammo:)but until then just be respectfull and tell them the truth even in handcuffs as i have been in numerous times it could get you out of incounters with the police. but most importantly know your rights dont assume what they are and know what the cops can and cant do. peace

You people have no idea what your talking about. Cops die on a daily basis. Cops are killed everyday. Cops are murdered day in and day out. And its by “ordinary people”. Its by people that think they can break the law and not have to face the consequences. You say cops get away with alot of shit, that may be. But how many times do you go 1 mph over the limit? How many times do you change lanes without signaling? How many laws do you break on a daily basis and get away with it? A cop could give you a ticket for so much stuff its not even funny.
