Funny Nudist Flight

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

< !-google_ad_section_start->After a lot of thinking I’ve decided to place these under Weird News category although it probably belongs to Funny News. You have to admit a plane full of naked people is kind of funny. Either way here’s Breaking News for today.< !-google_ad_section_end->

Travel agency OssiUrlaub.de is taking bookings for a trial nudist day trip from the eastern German town of Erfurt to the popular Baltic Sea resort of Usedom, planned for July 5.

The Price? Only 499 Euros or $735. “It’s expensive, I know,” managing director Enrico Hess told Reuters by phone. “It’s because the plane’s very small. There’s no real reason why a flight in which one flies naked should be more expensive than any other.”

“I wish I could say we thought of it ourselves but the idea came from a customer,” Hess said. “It’s an unusual gap in the market.”

The 55 passengers have to remain fully clothed until they board the plane, and dress before disembarking. The crew will of course remain clothed for safety reasons.

Funny Frog Salad

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

Funny Frog Salad pictureOf all the funny news I think this little frog deserves the breaking news status for today. “Hello I’m Froggy, don’t mind me I’m just checking ur salad.”

When 39-year-old Yvonne Brechbuhler took out the salad from her fridge she realized that she got more than she hoped for.
She found a tiny frog comfortably nestled in the leaves of organic lettuce she was just about to eat.

“I jumped away,” she said, and described the green critter as no bigger than the tip of her pinky finger.

“I didn’t know what it was. But once I realized it was a frog, I was OK,” she told the Daily News in Thursday editions.
Intrigued, she named the frog “Curious.”

An employee at the food co-op said it was the first such incident in memory.

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

He was seen taking underwear from two laundry rooms on Saturday. A witness recorded his license number, and Flaherty was identified from photographs. Previously police received 12 reports of panty theft in that area.

Cool Awakening

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

When I read this cool story I couldn’t stop thinking about how great was this poor mans shock when he realized he was in a coffin, and the funny scared look on his nephew’s face when he saw him opening his eyes. Talk about Weird news.

Chilean media reported that 81-year-old Feliberto Carrasco woke up in his coffin at his own wake giving his relatives a scare of a life time.

When they discovered his body limp and cold they thought his hour has come and decided to call a funeral home immediately, without calling a doctor.

A funeral home was full of grieving relatives and friends gathered to bid Carrasco a final farewell. He was dressed in his fines suit lying in a coffin and he just woke up.

I couldn’t believe it. I thought I must be mistaken and I shut my eyes,” Carrasco’s nephew Pedro told the Ultimas Noticias newspaper.

Welcome to Funny Stuff Videos

Funny Thief pictureI really cant decide if it’s that no one at the museum realized the boomerang is missing, or that the guy who stole it sent it back with an apology 25 years later, but this funny story made me laugh in more ways than one.

The artifact that was on display at Mt. Isa’s Frank Aston Underground Museum, was taken by an American tourist who’s guilt made him return it.

Apparently it arrived in post along with a note and a check donation for the museum.

“I removed this back in 1983 when I was younger and dumber,” said the note, as quoted by BBC News. “It was the wrong thing to do. I’m sorry, and I’m going to send it back.”

The note was merely signed, “Peter.”

McCullogh said that, even though the sender’s full name and address were found on the envelope, they are not going to reveal his full identity, and refused to discuss the value of the donation.

Funny Prankcall Grandma

Friday, January 18th, 2008

Funny Prankcall Grandma pictureI always thought that Funny prank calls are something that kids do when they are bored, and to show how cool they are in front of their friends, but this little old lady and the crazy mess she caused proved me wrong.

An elderly woman from Scotland alerted the coast guard about swimmers in distress after confusing TV drama she was watching with real life.

A Royal Navy helicopter, a lifeboat and a team of coastguards were sent to help the missing swimmers after her call this Monday.

After scouting the water for some time, they realized that something was wrong. Than it hit them. She was watching the movie named “Open water” about a couple being attacked by sharks while scuba diving. Apparently the scenes was so realistic she thought it was really happening.

She was watching a program on TV and she phoned 999 (the emergency number in Britain) and asked for the coastguard,” a local coastguard spokesman said.

Burglar's Funny Reaction pictureThe more I think about this the more I feel Berlin police officers had one cool and funny day because of this guy. I mean, what are the odds that something like this would happen in every day life? This is something that belongs in a funny old movie…

When Berlin Police got a call from a man who claimed he broke into an apartment and found a body they thought someone is just trying to be funny.

Apparently funny Berlin Burglar broke into apartment Tuesday evening only to find a dead body on the floor, and decided to call the police.

Crazy Popcorn Suit

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Crazy Popcorn Suit pictureHave you ever thought that microwave popcorns can make you sick? Neither did Wayne Watson.

When Watson came to Denver’s National Jewish Medical and Research Center complaining about lung problems last September he went trough a series of tests and biopsies and in the end was put on inhalers and steroids.

After the doctors realized that none of the treatments were helping he was referred to pulmonary specialist Dr. Cecile Rose.

She took him trough a 90-minute interview, trying to figure out which one of his habits is making him ill. After realizing that his symptoms matched those of workers in popcorn factories she said, ‘I’ve gotta ask this question, it’s going to seem weird, but do you ever eat microwave, butter-flavored popcorn?”

Watson recalled. “It was like lights went off, marching bands started to play. I said, ‘How did you know to ask that? I am microwave popcorn. I eat two bags of it a day every day.”

He’d been eating that much, for at least a decade. He said, He noticed some funny changes while singing that he could not explain.

“Several years ago during choir rehearsals, whenever I’d do a solo, I would notice my lung capacity was diminishing, and I wasn’t able to sustain the notes like I used to be able to,” he said. “Slowly my lung capacity went from the high 80s down to about the low 50s.”

Hospital investigators found that factory workers were exposed to diacetyl levels between 0.75 and 4 parts per million. Tests in Watson’s kitchen showed crazy amount between 0.5 and 3 parts per million, according to the hospital.
