Stripper PicturesAn Indiana appeals court Tuesday ruled in favor of an exotic dancer who reportedly injured herself while pole dancing at a Ft. Wayne, Indiana strip club.

According to court documents, Angela Hobson suffered injuries after performing a pole dance at the Shangri-La West club in December 2001. She said she reported soreness and numbness to her supervisors, which they later denied. Soon after the incident, she required surgery for a herniated disc in her cervical spine.

In 2006, the Worker’s Compensation Board awarded her temporary disability benefits and other compensation totaling over $10,000.

Shangri-La appealed that decision.

On Tuesday, the court denied their motion, upholding the original award and adding a 5 percent increase for interest. It also instructed the board to look into Hobson’s eligibility for double compensation due to the club’s lack of insurance at the time of the injury.
